Apparently this will be out in early June and is virtually complete...it looks so tastey.

I'm well looking forward to this game. I will finally get to test my skills against the KB/M.

:D

It’s definitely one of those games that has a steep learning curve and I would even go so far as to say it can be very frustrating for a player with less than average patience.

I think I'm going to need to sound proof my office ;)

Yes. PC and Console play against each other too.

IF the PC owner (assuming he doesn't own a 360 with Live) forks out for a Windows Live account that is.

With the predominance of free PC online gaming, who's going to do that at this time? Maybe if every PC game coming out was cross platform, but for Shadowrun alone what's the incentive?

Granted, if you already have a 360 & Live it might be fun. But then you may well be tempted to just get it for the 360 in the first place.

The incentive is hassle free networking. No more having to have one app finding the games, one app to do comms then start up the game.

LIVE enables the gamer to start the game and enter the multi-player seamlessly. Sure at first there will be some resistance. But I think many will realise that for the cost they are getting a superb service that will save them a lot of time and hassle in the future. (remember time is money)

Microsoft is heavily promoting gaming for windows, of which LIVE is an important aspect. I suspect that if you do want network play out of the box it might end up being the MS way or the highway.

But Steam already offers this type of game implemented network play. Plus anyone playing on a PC will know how to install and use XFire and the like...

Live anywhere is a good idea but they might find people willing to pay for it to be a bit lacking. Especially for Shadowrun where the PC side is supposed to be completely gimped.

Apparently they gimped it and then ungimped it because the control pads were pwning.

Also you could always use a 360 controller on the PC ;)
