Ok guys got some money burning a hole in my pocket and have the urge to spend...(even though i probably shouldnt).

Anyway, is it a good time to get a PS3? i see most deals have GT5:P with the console.. however are there any good deals out there?

Also, are sony going to be releasing a new revision of the PS3 anytime soon, ie one with more usb ports and a larger HDD ?? Is there going to be a GTAIV pack at all?

I have a 360 and am thinking of trading in some old crappy games and getting GTA IV on the 360...but i might want to get it on the PS3 if its any better on the PS3.. decisions decisions!!!

Help me decide!
 
Well dont really want to get rid of the 360 as its not technically all mine...but there are some games on there i dont play so would be good to trade them in... one thing i have noticed on the xbox, considering its been around for a long time now, is the complete lack of beat 'em ups....i cant wait for soul calibur 4 to come out (havent played the series since soul blade!); i know its on both platforms but i think it'll be more suited to the ps3, as any new version of tekken would be.

I dont think the deals on the ps3 are that great at the moment, not like when i got the 360...which is a shame..i havent seen the GTA4 pack anyway....will be paying a trip down to costco tomorrow so hopefully they might have a good deal going!

is dual shock 3 coming out anytime soon here?
 
what formats of media does the ps3 play that the 360 cant? other than the obvious (blu-ray). my 360 plays xvids fine.
 
ok ladies put your handbags away and lets get this back on topic :)

The angel on my right shoulder is saying to trade in halo 3(only played it once, never again!) and crackdown for GTAIV, the devil on my left is saying get the GTAIV ps3 pack!!

I think im being swayed to just get the 360 version and hold on until a better ps3 SKU is released...and when ds3 is a bit cheaper on these shores...i really want a ps3 cos its slick, and i want to get something new!! i can be impulsive at times and make the wrong decision... its quite a dilemma tho!

If you just want to play GTA4 then the 360 bundle is the best option (£199). add £100 if you want blu-ray (PS3)
 
Well i did the deed....

PS3, GTAIV, GT5:P, COD4 for £360 (ironic that it is 360 :P)

I didnt need to but my impulsive nature got the better of me!

Would have been cheaper to buy it on the 360!! oh well!

Now i need to unpack it all :)
 
Sorted...uncharted? im really naive at the mo but what is it :P? i got COD4 cos my friend has it and plays online.

didnt want uncharted....anyway for £360 i get 3 games i really want and a shiny new ps3! i think its a pretty good deal...

Well i didnt just buy the ps3 for GTA, if i just wanted GTA i would have got it for the 360! I gotta admit tho...graphics have rough look to them (ie not great) for the few mins i have played it....but im not that fussed...doubt there will be mych difference...who knows i might get it or borrow it for the 360 to have a look!
 
Bit of a long shot here, but i have the ps3 hooked up via hdmi into my monitor (Hyundai W241D-PVA)....anybody know good settings to have the monitor set at? im not very good when it comes to calibrating!
