Hi, Mr Shep Cobain, I've seen the game running on both machines, I am currently playing the 360 version on my own system. And as for the PS3 version, My friend has that, And I've been watching his.
Now what's strange is, Even though you are telling us the PS3 version looks hideous. I can't see a difference that makes the Ps3 version look bad atall, If anything they look about the same with my version having a slightly prettier colour scheme.
There are differences in the way the game acts, With regards to loading, But it's the Ps3 graphics you are attacking.
I'm not saying to you, You are wrong, Chances are what you are seeing is bad Ps3 graphics, But it's 100% definate your settings that are wrong. And if you don't agree with that, then that's your right.
Take a look around, all website show the game to be graphically better than the 360 version, with regards to aa and less graphic pop-ins. Most the people on this forum are agreeing and saying the PS3 version is better, Due to aa and less graphic pop-ins. I am going to go with them, and say from what I have seen, the PS3 version is slightly better, due to AA and Less graphics pop-ins, And i don't own that version!
The questions, Are the usual ones, What connection do you have your PS3 going through, is it set up optimally at your TV's end. Loads of people come onto these forums, complaining at PS3 jaggies, and after a few moments of playing with settings, they've ended up with better quality.
And just so you know, just because your 360 looks good using certain settings on your TV, that does not automatically mean the PS3 will look good using the same settings. Especially if both machines are running through different connections.
