shall i hit the buy button?

Depends on budget.

Not sure about the power supply, so i can`t say either way. The corsair`s are popular and i am well chuffed with mine. But, they are quite a bit more cost wise.

Are you going to use the stock cooler? You might want to get something a little better and quieter IMO. Especially if you plan to overclock. I have the same chip and it went straight to 3ghz no probs under a Noctua.

The Freezer pro is popular on here, and its the right money. Also the Tuniq tower, Scythe Ninja, Noctua HF12 And Thermalrights all come highly recommended.

Good choice on the hard drive. Its so quiet i thought mine was broken.:p

:( i am on a really tight budget, do you know of a decent one that is not too much more? i guess i could get rid of the dvd-rom bezel and maybe get a smaller hard drive and put that saved money towards a better psu. i am really trying to keep it below or as close to £600 as possible, it is currently £590

I have a geminII that a friend gave me http://www.coolermaster.com/products/product.php?act=detail&id=140
which i can put two 120mm fans on (thats what those are for) :)

i have had no issues with my Hiper over the last 11 months. I would change the 2 sharkoon fans for an artic pro 7 CPU cooler. What were you going th use the sharkoon fans for?

You were posting while i was typing :)

I see. Well, thats the cooler sorted.

The importance of a decent power supply is often overlooked. I can`t say either way on the Huntkey`s as i have no experiance of using them. I have always used Antec`s or Corsairs.

yeh i hope so anyway, i havent heard much about it so i am not sure if it will do that job but its worth a go i guess. And i will have a look at the corsairs now

I believe the issue was with hyper 520/530w PSU giving up with a bang. If you have used a particular psu manufacture in the past and never had a problem continue using them. My self personally i tend to go for more power. Its a personal preference especially if i intend to add more drives, fans or decide to go sli ect and overclock. Allows my upgrades without the worry of is my PSU going to handle all of this.

cable design to eliminate clutter and improve airflow inside the chassis.
- Eco-design for energy and money saving by Active PFC.(>0.99) / high efficiency(>80%)
- Two 6 pin / one 8 pin PCI-e connectors offer great future upgradeability
- Clear color identifiable connectors for user friendiness
- Ultra-silent operation with intelligent 120mm fan speed control (< 16dBA)
- Multiple protection function provides full-scale protection for your components
- Real power capacity satisfies high-end system operation
