I got my monitor Benq 3d ready setup the other week. And on numerous games its telling me im using the incorrect cable when trying to play them .I am using the White dual dvi cable which came with my monitor and it fits into the dual dvi socket on the back on the monitor. Was happening on just Unreal 3 and fallout 3, now its happening on Batman. It' must be the correct cable and everythings setup for 120 hertz. Tried different drivers too with no luck.

Here is the cable im using - clearly im not using the wrong cable like it states

http://s912.photobucket.com/albums/ac323/leeemma1/?action=view&current=IMG_0385.jpg

The error was happening on a few games , but now it seems more and more games are having the problem. Theres no bent pins on the cable, and everything in nvidia options to do with resolution is set up correct on 120 hertz and so on. So im thinking maybe i have a faulty monitor or something along those lines.
Anyone have any idea what is going on please.

Gonna have to goto work now so ill check later tonight ,hope someone can help.

The monitor is also new and you supect that is at fault so why not supect the cable may be at fault? Do you know anybody you could borrow a cable from? Could it be the graphics card?

I would not just assume it is the monitor. It may well be the monitor but there are other links in the chain.

Hmm never seen this error before. Can you turn the refresh rate down to 50 or 60Hz? I only say this because I have a feeling some games can't take 120Hz? But I may be talking rubbish :p

Maybe depending on the type of game?

Looks like Fallout 3 in the background... Does it work on new games BF/Skyrim etc?

EDIT: what about on the desktop?

are you plugging the cable into a dual link dvi socket on the graphics cards? Some have both single and dual separate.

Alright guys, to answer your questions as best i can. Yes its plugged into the correct socket. Fallout 3 and unreal 3 do work if i lower them to 60hertz yes. But batman is made for 3d and actually comes with the pack, so that should be working on 120 hertz for sure. Theres a few other games doing it too, so im certain theres something wrong.
Both my graphics cards have 2 dual sockets, not single. As for on the desktop yes its fine on 120 hertz, i don't see any other problems other than these games. What do you guys think should be my next step. I don't mind ordering a cable jsut to rule that out. Can someone please link me to the correct cable.

Thanks for your time guys. Really appreciate the help

Also to answer a question i missed, no it's not the card, ive tried both cards in top pcie slot , both doing the same. And someone asked about it working on other new games, well it works fine on 120 on black ops i think, also bf3, fifa 12, skyrim, grid. When i get home in a few hours ill double check they allwork on 120hertz.

OK well ive found a way around the errors. Turns out the problem goes away when i disable SLI. This isnt much of an option for me though, as i need sli to max games out with these cards. There must be a fix for this problem, really really annoying. But it does seem i ordered a cable for nothing. And the monitor isnt faulty. Anyone know of a fix?

Trail and error with drivers?

From experience multi card problems are either down to drivers or the game its self.
