Hi Guys

I bought a bog standard tower going back a few years now. Cant remember when might of been 4-5 years ago. I have replaced the graphics card to a gigabyte 980ti and have also had an SSD drive put in it. I havent replaced the CPU or motherboard or ram which are an I7 3770, MSI B75MA-E33 and 8GB of cheap ram I would have thought. I wouldnt mind having a CPU that could be overclocked, Really wouldnt mind the Skylake CPU.

Does anybody have any recommendations on what to do, somebody has said the extra performance wouldnt be worth shelling out the money. I have put this query on another topic, but didnt really get that much of an answer.

Cheers all.

In terms of gaming, hardly worth upgrading to Skylake or Haswell. The gain would be small. Save your money or invest it else where, better monitor or other peripherals.

I just invested in a Dell G Sync monitor. I like Company of Heroes 2 and Strategy games. Getting quite a lot of lag on Company of Heroes 2. Thats why I thought my CPU maybe struggling to keep up????

I have Afterburner on my system. Ive recently been checking the temps on my GPU with my new screen. I havent checked CPU usage atall, I take it if its maxing out while playing such games as Company of Heroes 2. Its lag due to the CPU???
