Shamefully good emo

finch - what it is to burn (perfection through silence)
taking back sunday - where you want to be (a decade under the influence)

edit* not shamefully good, just guilty pleasures

seconding these, though I still think TBS first album was their best (Cute Without the E and No I In Team! :D) love Thursday as well, to whoever mentioned them..

Straylight Run are worth a mention too but they're a bit on the lighter side "Prepare to be Wrong EP" is their best imo.

My brother mentioned them to me when I asked him this question but I hated them. The singer's voice made me want to do murder

I didn't write them in here because I thought they were emo, I just think they're definitely worth checking out :). They put on a great live show too.

I'm pleasantly suprised someone else even recognises the name to be honest heh, they were quite involved in the local band scene around here a couple of years back and Luke Pickett is a bit of an "idol" to most 14 year old girls round my way at the moment.

How did you find out about them?

Ah ok

I know the ex singer Lee, well - don't know him overly well but speak to him occassionally. How about you?

They are actually very good, might have to see if I can get a few of their albums. What's the best?

If you like that stuff, get Hálldor Laxness, their third album. I've not heard all of the new one but the samples on their myspack page are pretty pro.

Their first two albums (Hey Johnny and Jesus Christ Bobby) are noisecore. You probably wouldn't like it.
