We are four of us sharing a connection, I am wired to the router, the other three are wireless, one of them keeps on using torrents...the three of us keep on telling him not to upload as much but the guy is being a ****. Is there a way to limit his upload, on a Linksys wrt54g running dd-wrt, without having to run a linux box to do that?

You could bump all of his traffic to a lower priority using the MAC address section of the QoS page. I'm not certain that it works for wireless clients, though.

I have exactly the same situation on my home network so any suggestions would be very welcome!

Same, a quick definition of CBR, VBR and UBR QoS types would be handy too. I don't have the option to filter out a MAC to low prioity on my WAG200G, just ports. :(

just kick him off the router ever now and again. most clients wont auto reconnect to the tracker when his internet reconnects
