Hi all
Not sure if this is the right place or not but I have a question.
I have an external harddrive (connected by USB) which I stored media etc on. The computer it is attached to can access everything fine.
However, having set one of the folders top be shared on my network, I am having a bit of a problem. I use xbmc on my xbox, and wish to play my media files on it via the network. I go to the network shares and the folder on my external drive appears in the list, but I can't open it.
From having a bit of a search about on google, it seems that sharing folders on an external usb hard drive is a fairly known problem but I can't find any info on how solve this issue so the shared folder can be accessed on the network.
ANy one have any ideas???
For info, I am using Windows XP Home SP2.
Any help much appreciated!!!
