Shared hardware - scanner / inkjet / laser

Right now we have two computers sharing some hardware via my computer.
Would it be possible with some sort of network system to setup shared scanner, inkjet and laser printer?
I am not looking for a computer running 24/7, I would prefer a less costly/visible system

Get yourself a network print server and you can share the printers easily. Scanning may, or may not work depending on the printer and drivers.
