Shared Network Folder in Vista??

Hi, how can I make a shared folder in Vista, I have 2 other computers of my home network but they are running XP. XP used to have a shared folder automatically but doesnt in Vista and I cant seem to find how I do it. Anyone know how?? :confused:

Vista has the 'public' folder which is the same as xp's shared documents, is this what you are after?

i have found the public folder but its not showing on the other computers

have you made sure file sharing is switched on in the vista network center? Other than that i am not sure why it isnt showing up...

I'm in the same situation with an xp laptop and a vista pc and I use the public folder, so it deffinately is possible (especially if i can do it)

Same here with my main rig XP Pro, the laptop Vista Home Premium.

File sharing on vista is all on, and I saw my PC once before it vanished(WAN failed randomly)! Trying to enable file sharing by setting up a new network in XP results in error message and failing. I have set 'shared' folders on both computers but can see didly squat!
