Shared Vista folder not updating

I have Vista 64.

I set up a shared folder on the hard disk.

On other computers in the network, which have vista 32 and XP I can access the folder with no problems.

But if I add a new file to this folder, they will not see this new file. I have to fix this disabling then re-enabling sharing on that folder.

And if I add a folder which has files in it, the other computers see the folder but not whats inside.

Any ideas?

yes.
Even if I restart the other computers and then go to the shared folder it will not see the new files.
Its as if the Vista 64 is restricting them from seeing any new files.

Are you sure the permissions are set right on the folder such that all PCs can list contents etc etc? Have you tried disabling the many annoying security settings and firewalls?

P.S Why the hell are you hosting stuff on vista anyway? XP/Linux is far easier to do this on.

~Infact I'd say the ultitmate solution to your problem is a Linux Virtual Machine with the files hosted on that :)
