This may sound like a daft question, but how do I get Exchange 2000 to forward emails to Sharepoint 2007?

Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server 2007, which I think was portal

You can email the "site" instead of uploading documents and replying to discussions etc..

I got that part sorted out ( I think )

It is the configuration of the Exchange server that is bugging me

I thought Sharepoint would have an account within the Exchange environment and directly access the server, but it appears to use its own SMTP server.

nope, its not going to work with Exchange (as of yet). It will quite happily work with POP mail however.

The relation to outlook and sharepoint at present is the ability to meeting share from within outlook using a designated sharepoint site.

Are you sure?

The demo on the sharepoint site shows the guy emailing from Outlook 2007, and MOSS allows you to setup incoming mail and point it towards an SMTP server...

I know it doesn't fully integrate with Exchange, which is weird to be honest.
