Due to security concerns, my company is not willing to link Sharepoint to it's own AD, as third-party users will be using the site for collaboration also.
However, Forms authentication, using a custom user database, seems to cripple the functionality of Sharepoint.
Is there any way of setting up or using Sharepoint with a forms-like environment without AD, but has the same functionality as a full Windows-authented setup with AD?
