Sharing a connection (wireless and wired)

Not sure if this is possible so just wanted to check.

My laptop is connected to a wireless network but my desktop isn't as no wireless card. Is it possible for me to share the wireless connection on my laptop and have an ethernet lead running from my laptop to my desktop?

Basically i want to be able to use the net on my desktop but somewhow through my laptop, i am not using a router.

You can use the built in ICS in windows to share the wireless connection across the ethernet, or another way would be to go into network connections just select both the wireless and wired adapters and click bridge.
