I have 2 laptops and a main pc my acer laptop is running vista (came with the machine) and the other two are running xp.
My problm is I can share my folders on the two machines running xp with no problems (I have a wireless router),but when I try to share with the vista machine I am having a few problems.
It will let me send files over the network to the 2 xp machines no problem at all, but when I try to send to the vistA machine from the xp machine I am having no joy.

Any ideas peeps

Many thanks

enabled file sharing exception in the firewall properties on vista ?

vista has bi-directional firewall, so the exception needs to be enabled for both ways.

Why is it asking me for a user name and password?
how do I do that?
What am I looking for.
what do I enable?

Thanks for this help
