sharing a pc internet connection with tv??

the pc in my room is connected to the internet by an ethernet cable, is it possible to run a second ethernet cable to an internet ready tv from my pc(i have to ethernet ports on the pc back panel?

It is possible but it would be much quicker / easier to buy a switch:

Just bridge the network adapters.

Ahhh, shoulda known there was a cheap and way way to do this.

For what you need, I'd choose a cheapy one.

cheers pete. it's only a stop gap measure anyway. be moving into my own place soon and the tv will have its own ethernet cable then
