Sharing access point

I presently have my PS3 connected to the net through a power line kit linked to my router. Is it possible to split/share the connection at the PS3 end with another device? Neither device would be on at the same time.

Or do I just need to remove the ethernet cable and swap it over each time?

You could swap the cable over if you can do the hassle. You could alternatively buy a switch and have them both connected. Your choice.
