Sharing across Vista Home Premium and XP Pro

I'd like my Vista Home Premium laptop to be able to see the drives on my XP Pro main machine. Laptop connects wirelessly and main PC wired to D-link DSL-G604T. Where do I start?!?

make sure they are on the same workgroup and then share the folders you want access too on the xp machine by right clicking on the folder and then sharing option

I've put them both on the same workgroup and restarted both machines. I've shared the folder on the D drive of the XP machine I want the laptop to see and it's got the little hand icon under it now. I'm not sure what I need to do on the laptop to get it to see the folder though? Do I need to setup a network this side as well? Bit stuck...

Sorted, just typed in \\mainpcname\ at run and up it came. Desktop shortcut, jobs a good un.
