Hi,

I have a i7 970 overclocked to 4Ghz, 12GB RAM with a Ati Radeon HD5870 1GB. I was wondering if it is possible to give 1GB of my pc ram to the VGA as i am looking to run a texture pack for the elders scrolls : oblivion which requires at least 1.5Ghz of Video Ram.

I have looked on numerous websites but cannot find anything, I assume there is no way without upgrading the card but i though i would at least ask.

Thanks

I doubt if it's going to be worth upgrading just for a texture pack for Oblivion.

I agree that is why im hoping just to allocate memory as needed. My PC does not automatically allocate RAM to the video card when needed as there is a lot of lag when playing with the texture pack enabled.

Thanks for the information though, i did assume there would be no way of doing it but i wanted to check anyway.
