Just got a laptop but it doesn't pick up wireless well in my room, often dropping the connection. In the same room I have my desktop computer which is wirelessly connected to the router downstairs and gets signal fine.

I was wondering if there was a way to access the internet on my laptop via my PC? Ideally I want to do it wirelessly but I doubt I can do that without buying extra kit (pc uses usb linksys wusb54gs network adapter). I'd be happy enough doing it a standard ethernet cable but apart from plugging it in both computers I would have no idea how to set it up to share the connection :o. Any help/guides on how to set this up?

Oh, and to make it worse, the laptop is a mac which I have no clue how to use, PC uses XP.

Thanks

You can use Internet Connection Sharing in Windows. Its a little flakey but does work.

Have a google, its sometimes called ICS.

What will happen is you can connect your PC through the wireless adpator and then hook your laptop to your PC through an ethernet cable.

Have you thought about just using the USB adaptor on the laptop if you only use one at a time.
