Sharing internet connection?

I have a laptop with wireless internet connection.

I need my Ubuntu desktop to share that connection via ethernet.

How do I set it up?

(I have googled and tried to follow it but no luck so far)

If the laptop is the one with the internet connection and it's running Windows, set up ICS.

As for how, first result on Google for "Windows 7 internet connection share". The Ubuntu machine should already be configured to get an IP et al automatically and thus just work.

Sorry, my mistake.

I have the Wireless connection shared for the Wired connection. I have the computer connected to the laptop via ethernet. Everything is set to get IP addresses automatically.

Ubuntu refuses to connect.

EDIT:

HANG ON....it appears to be working now, but I have no idea what I did :s
