OK, here is the situation.
I have a Synology NAS.
On this NAS there is a folder called Music.
This folder was mapped to my laptop as the M drive.
iTunes on the laptop was setup so that the Library location was the M drive.
I then proceeded to rip all of my CD's from the laptop.
All is well, the laptop can see all of the music.
We have two further desktop machines that want to share this library.
So I mapped the same M drive on both of these desktops.
On their local iTunes installation the Library Location was set to M.
However no music appears on the two desktops.
I manually imported all of the music onto the teo desktops - all fine.
If however I add an album from any one machine, the other two do not see the newly ripped tracks.
So, is there a qway of having a central NAS location containing all of my music and 3 seperate machines all being able to use this library and getting updated when any one machine adds new tracks?
