A month ago I connected Laptop A to Laptop B using an RJ45 cable, this was aided by the help of a very useful webpage. Step-step it told me to setup some ip addresses and some other settings and I was done. Goodness knows why I didn't bookmark it but I can't find it again.
I want to do the same thing but all I can find now is reams of pages of idiot nerds discussing whether or not you have a crossover cable or whether or not your NIC is up to date or something.
Can someone just simply instruct me on how I can "network" these two laptops; or direct me to a useful webpage.
Its frustrating knowing how simple this was when I did it last time, yet I can't do it again!
