Hello all,

How would i go about recieving a wireless signal from a router (into a desktop aka homemade router] and then porting it out to other machines.

[Wireless Router > My 'Homemade' Router > > > Other Desktop's

So the 'homemade' router will be an old P3 machine that'll have a wireless card init to recieve the signal then it'll have say about 4 ethernet ports so i can then plug other machines into it and use the wireless signal essentialy on wired.

Is this do-able?

Well I know you can do this with pfSense and fairly sure you can also do it with m0n0wall and ClarkConnect too so I'd have a look at those, I currently use pfSense and it has been rock solid and also supports load balancing over multiple WAN connections (m0n0 does not do this, and it is a paid for feature in CC).
