thanks..
scubes... i no ive heard ppl with problems with these fans before ..

Sounds like the bearings need some lube :D I would use sewing machine or hair clipper oil on the end of a needle to apply a small amount of oil onto the fan bearings.

It can happen with any fan although it's unusual for one that's so new. Take the fan out and carefully remove the sticker on the centre. You should be able to see an area where you can apply some oil so that it coats the bearings inside. I use hair clipper oil myself (as it's very fine) and a needle so I can apply a few drops without over doing it. You won't have to remove the Motherboard, regardless of what fan it is causing the noise.

I was thinking the noise was coming from a case fan or CPU cooling fan? Try stopping each fan one at a time for a few seconds when the noise is happening to isolate which one is doing it (except for the PSU fan) lol!

since it started i have had my door of the side of the case and it sounds like its coming from the fan thats pushing the air though the heatsink had my ear down at the psu and i dont think the sound was coming for there...

It's just an intermittent noise which can happen with fan's in particular. Just strange that it's happening with one that's almost new.
