Shattered Horizon

i have got it, bought it over xmas and i was on the BETA, with the new added bits it is quite good fun tbh :).

graphics are pretty and the soundtrack is epic too!

It will take you a while to get used to drifting around and clamping on to bits of asteroids, but its a good feeling picking someone off in space with a scoped weapon lol

Played for an hour or so during the free weekend. I found it very dull, slow and not many full servers considering it was free to play. It's a bog standard shooter with a twist of playing through 360 degrees, all that means is you can get killed from below as well as behind and above. Didn't look that good either, graphics wise.

I enjoyed playing it several times over the free steam weekend, though by the end I was starting to find it a bit repetative, so I won't be buying it.

As a unique concept it was really good, it was great fun flying from asteroid to asteroid. It's what the space fight scene in Moonraker should have been like!

I imagine in a year or two there will be a few other games on similar lines, and something with an indepth single player mode might do better at getting my attention. (yes I can be a bit of a loner when it comes to gaming!)

PK!

Isn't the soundtrack for this game composed by that same guy from finland who was in that PC demo crew Future Crew and also does work for Poets of the Fall - finland rock band, and did scores for FutureMark 3D Mark etc..??

I can't remember his name, but yes Shattered Horizon does have a rather nice soundtrack to it...

Shame, i was worried that this might be the case with the game. A good Sci Fi FPS multiplayer online game with depth is right up my street would be nice to have a good one come out with some awesome graphics visuals for space.

It looked quite nice from the screenies i saw, so was wondering.

I will probably still try it.

I did buy it, the players are very grown up the graphics are nice and so is the concept

I got used to it quite quick

it does need more stuff through
