You cannot return a shaver. I am sure it is a no no with most shops.

I have used a DE. I currently use a Mach 3.

Thing is, i will be shaving head too as i have been bald by choice for several years now.

Braun 7 looks good but very expensive!

Never had a bad shave with one, problems with multi blade razors is how they clog up and are a pain to clean. only ever useful if you shave every day which i don't.

I have quite a thick and coarse beard which more than likely makes the difference.

I shave against the grain with no problem except the neck which does cause issues.

I will be shaving my face with the Mach 3 i think. Its my dome i need a battery shaver for. If i could find a beard trimmer that shaves down to '0' that would be good as i dont mind having some stubble on my head.

It far better then the Braun 7 series which I was using for years before I bought this one..

Can confirm, I use a fairly bog-standard Philips shaver (not sure of the model, was about £100 full price, got in a sale) and the results are nowhere near as smooth as a wet shave. Still, I use it for the convenience.

For those complaining of skin issues, the best advice IMO is pick a method and stick to it. Changing to a new method (electric/wet whatever) usually results in irritation whatever your skin.

Tried an electric. Supposed to be a decent one.
Have barely used it. And won't do so again.
Doesn't work for me and takes longer to get a worse finish

Wet shavers are the best by far but for me it will be good to have a decent battery alternative too.

another vote for Braun, I have the 5 Series with cleaning station, it also has the cooling strip head which actually works and is not some gimic.

Not all electric shavers are equal
