Shed Solar Systems [Elec] **

Has anyone installed their own solar panel system for their shed for lights / power e.t.c? I'm gathering info about DIY systems.

If you have done it have you got any pictures or videos of your setups?

Please let me know and discuss any issues you have uncounted.

You'd need to back it up with a vast battery bank to do anything useful with the power, for lights? Just use a torch, they saving will never repay what an extension cord run from the house costs.

I will be using two battery banks to power it. It's just a fun little project I am going to be starting soon for the shed.

Well I just had the panels installed on the house so I might just run an outside electricity cable to the shed which enables me to put in power too rather than opt for it's own solar system.

It's not even that bad to make your own DIY kit but once the battery is purchased it can rack up to about 200 pound easy for a decent bit of kit vs the electric cable and boxes which would only be about 50 quid if that.
