Just been checkin for games what are just around the corner and come across this and had a look at a few videos on youtube.

Will this game be scarey and be good then? never played 1st shellshock so aint got a clue what its about, but gunna guess 28 days later back in WW2???

Just been looking at this too, never heard of it at all, until I got a enewsletter thru from a competitor.

It looks ok, but graphically quite poor. theres a walkthrough of the game on YouTube that gives you more of a feel for the game:

F.E.A.R 2 will be enough for me this weekend though!

pretty crappy in all honest truth.. You have to match flashing WASD symbols on screen, to get past certain parts, not quick enough or miss a letter in wrong sequence you die! Might be good enough for a little time waster.

I only played for 5 minutes and it looks quite generic, nothing new here.

my mouse feels like im moving through treacle, feels incredibly unresponsive even on max sensitivity

Its actually half decent if you give it a chance. It lacks polish - that's the major problem with it. Im still enjoying it mind you.

Just played the game myself and although it looks nice it's let down by some awful quicktime events and bad mouse control's. You can adjust the sensativity of the mouse but it doesn't make a great deal of difference it feels like your gun control is on rails  The quicktime events are the worst i've ever come across , it doesn't just require one button to be pressed but 3 a time!!!.

For example : A guy attacks you with a sword

A S D
D S W
D S A

 QUICKTIME EVENTS DO NOT WORK AND SUCK , STOP IT DEVELOPERS!

Oh god this game is painful to play - save your money and STAY WELL AWAY!!

Ive gotten so fed up with World War 2 games and much prefer Vietnam games, like Vietcong - brilliant game.

I got to the second bit in the jungle and just could not bring myself to play it anymore. Graphics look dated, mouse slow and unresponsive, enemy AI are pants, and impossible to see and worst of all..... the sprint option - i had to close my eyes every time i sprinted as the entire screen bounces up and down at a manic speed, felt like my head was about to explode

I've read that this game has been banned in Australia due to it being so violent! Maybe they just didn't want Australian kids to experience such a god awful game :p

Not impressed with this game at all, as others have said the responsiveness is pretty shoddy, also i dislike the up down left right cut scene fight thingies immensely. Hate the fact you can't jump too. Distinctly average game.

I worked on this title for over 2 years when it was coming out on the PS2 and Xbox.. It was being converted for Next Gen platforms when i left back in 2006.. It was never going to be a "great" game but could have been a very scary game if done well..

From your comments i am guessing it wasn't...

I had the first one and only got part of the way through it before I traded it in - I too love Vietcong, and not long ago had another blast through it - thoroughly fun game, right up until the T34's start rolling at you :p

However Shellshock... just didnt seem to have anything exciting about it - so I think i'll stay well away from the sequel.

Funny thing is that Vietcong 2 was also an unplayable stinking pile of monkey droppings :(
