I missed this title when it first came round on the Dreamcast, is Shen Mue 2 playable on the 360? I saw that it is released for the Xbox 1

Shenmue is the better of the two games as Shenmue 2 gets rather dull when you get to the woods/forest. Unfortunatly Shenmue is only on the Dreamcast which is a great excuse to get one and also try Jet Set Radio, Power Stone, F355.

Still hopping Shenmue 3 will be made one day.

I seemed to get stuck going through an endless loop of tower blocks and got bored. Loved the first game though, i know it was a love it or hate it type of game but i really couldnt get enough of it. Must dig out the DC and give it a go, F355 challenge as well :).

I did love shenmue many moons ago, was brilliant on the dreamcast!

Then I played shenmue 2 for xbox ages ago, and it felt like it had lost its magic a bit. Maybe to old a style of game for todays standards.

There needs to be a shenmue 3 though , would imagine it would make sega a lot of money , a lot more money than that golden axe remake! :D

I think if shenmue 3 was to be made / released, the 1st and 2nd game needs to be redone , because the dreamcast wasnt too popular back in the day hence not a lot of people would buy shenmue 3, because they havnt played the 1st and 2nd game.

"Excuse me! Do you know where I can find some sailors?"

Such a underrated game this series was.

I dunno about you guys but I loved the 2nd game, seeing 1980's kung-fu movie style Hong Kong and as it got all mystical in end and hinting about what the Dragon and Phoenix mirrors were about. Plus is way better to play the original Dreamcast version than the crappy dubbed version of the Xbox release even if the latter had some improvements.

And yes, there should be a Shenmue 3 if Sega decides to return to it. I also wonder what the hell is up with the Shenmue MMO game since that has been in limbo for ages.

If the Yakuza series makes up a lot of profits for Sega, then hopefully we can see Shenmue make a return. I mean they now have the technology for it.

Shenmue brings good memories for me. I remember being a teen playing it first time around, being amazed by picking up an orange in a bowl lol. I was proud of my dreamcast!

When you get to the dock area and work in the fork lifts.. and the pigeons fly about (killing framerate a bit i admit), you realise how stunningly beautiful this game was.

Absolutely spectacular in my eyes. I dont care what anyone says :)

Best part of shenmue 1 was the 1000000000 man fight by far!

So many guys to knock out - was awesome! :D

Yeah that was awesome. Even better is once you done it, it is unlocked on the Passport disc and so you can play it whenever you want. What sucks is after all that, you get to Terry and he was such a short little dude who easily got owned by your trusty Chinese comrade. How the hell this midget became the boss I will never know lol.

shenmue 1 is a lot better than 2

"where is Lan de".....ill never forget that line

Its "Lan Di" !! :D

re

i know its lan di but i spelt it that way so people could pronounce it properly.....

lan di is said as "lan dee"....but "lan di" looks as though its said as "lan die" but if you have played the game then we all know its lan di prounounced as "lan dee":)
