Shenmue 3 Poll

Would love to see Shenmue 3 released.......gave up on it ever happening years ago though.

The games just never made any money they cost loads to make and were niche sellers the Xbox release of Shenmue 2 didn't do any good at all and that was probably the last chance for a sequel to happen.
 
Really don't see it happening, ever.

They just didn't make enough money from the Shenmue series :(

Still I loved messing around with the forklift :D
 
Sega are one of the most successful game companies now, merging with Sammy gave them a fair wad of cash and they have had some seriously big sellers recently.

Shenmue however, was not a big seller. They spent a fortune making those games, and never saw anywhere near enough back from them.

Fantastic series though.

Yes when I was in my early 20's I was out nailing women not sat inside playing video games. I never had a console til now from the megadrive.

Now i'm married and no longer have use for my bits I have a console again.

Seriously if thats your excuse, it's very poor. Like you can't go out and still enjoy video games.. lol.

Hardly I had the time of my life, I didn't have time to sit inside wasting hours on a console game. Having a decent time is hardly a poor excuse for not playing a game.

It sucks to be you wasting the best years of your life sitting inside playing games.

Oh yeah...

-It doesn't bother me if Shenmue 3 isn't released

Never liked the series, found it incredibly dull even when it first came out.

Well, With regards to the game, I have to say Shenmue in its time, was one of the most beautiful looking games, The cultural aspects to the game were amazing, And I loved it.

They made the game so interesting, I mean wierd things like doing jobs for money, Were fantastic in the game. Do you remember having to carry the books and stack them without dropping the books? Great fun.

Collecting the toys from the machines, playing pool for money. All just worked for this game, And then there was the storyline and perfectly executed QT sequences.

Loved it. And I'm disappointed it's not coming back.
 
I know its slightly off topic Sega's Yakuza games are quite like Shenmue if you havent played them give them a go. Yakuza 3 (not kenzan) looks very nice at the moment cant wait to see it when its done.
 
Yakuza always looked quite nice, and I've not played it. In what ways is it similar to Shenmue? I'm at work or I'd just look at some videos and find out for myself :p

If it's as beautiful, and has a nice storyline, I may seriously look at picking it up. It's PS2 right?

It just feels like Shenmue lol, its different in many ways but its about as close as you get.
