Shenmue on PC?

You can just buy a pad converter. That's what I've done with my psx/snes/n64 stuff.

To be honest, the older consoles/cartridges tend to die after a while anyhow (my precious Secret of Mana saves:( )

It's also handy if you manage to get 8-10 pads connected to your PC and then fire up Atomic Bomberman on a projector ;p

For the PC never, if you have a ps3 or 360 though a trilogy installment is being considered. ;)

It is?

I loved these games, so sad that it kinda died away. I'd love to see the third installment created at some point, I wanna know the rest of the story :(

As far as I know Shenmue Online is still in production, but it was only going to be released in Korea and China if I remember correctly. Though I would rather learn about the rest of the story from a single player game like the first two games.

I have Shenmue 2 on Xbox. Shame the first one didn't come out. All I got was a DVD of the very cheap Shenmue movie. But that was just a recording of someone playing through the important bits of the first game and all the cut scenes. At least it brought me up to speed on the story.

Shenmue 1 + 2 are probably my favourite games, used to spend hours on them each weekend when I had my Dreamcast yonks ago.

Driving forklifts = Genius. Shame 3 never came out, hopefully it will one day, I remember seeing an apparent leaked screen awhile ago, dunno if it was real or not though.

Looking back at some screens, the engine still stands up today.

Think I'm going to play Shenmue 2 again, I never did manage to finish it. Now I've got the DC hooked up to a 19" TFT, should be sweet.
It was certainly one of the most interesting experiences of recent years, I'm not sure it was quite a good game but certainly a good something.

My DC is broken unfortunately :(

teach me to let my sisters anywhere near my stuff

even had an original fully working sega megadrive at one point aswell..till they got their mits on it

When you think this game was made for the Japanese Dreamcast in 1999 then over here in about 2000 the graphics were outstanding and do likes been said looks good by todays standard.

Same here. I remember when I frist got to the harbor and we had the fly through of the harbor, I was amazed by it! When I learnt we got to ride the forklifts and work there... that blew me away. I loved it so much I deliberately didn't progress in the story. Just to drive forklifts :D Haha. What a sad little child I was :D

Everyone through Shenmue was too slow and boring. They just didnt give it a chance. The QTE fights were awesome. The 70-man battle. The QTE battle on the bikes. Chasing people through town dodging in and out of people. My god, so much action!

Shenmue 2 was awesome too. Kowloon having some of the best fights and story telling I've ever seen in a game. The rooftop fight was amazing. Guilin was a very nice way to end the game, learning about who Shen Hua is. Was a nice wind down from all of the action that took place in Kowloon.

I want Shenmue 3 :(

I must agree again, the graphics still aint bad.

Don't know about that mate, I can't see 640 by 480 looking too good on a 19" tft.
