Going back to 2000 dreamcast released one of the best games I had ever played...Shenmue!

I really want to see this game released on the Playstation network!!!......Some old sega games have been put on the PSN such as crazy taxi so what's stopping them from doing the same with this classic title!?
They could even charge up to £7 for the game and I guarantee they would make a killing....everyone's a winner right?

They probably dont want to reintroduce the games to old and new fans, Because it would just disappoint everyone when they find out the "trilogy" ends at game number 2

Nah I dont think it would disappoint. They throw out PSX games on the network all the time so its no different

It's not as simple as that. Crazy Taxi was also developed for the PS2. This will be the version your seeing on the PSN.

I doubt you will ever see DC exclusive games on the PSN.

I'd rather play it on my Dreamcast because I bet they won't bother porting it over and allowing the higher resolution mode (VGA box) so it'll probably just run at standard SD.

Shenmue aged really badly. I don't see anyone new getting into it. Only those who played it when it first came out.

The only reason I'd play Shenmue again is to feel nostalgia... and I'd need a dreamcast to do that. Playing it on the PS3 would be weird.

and every time I see a Shenmue thread it just reminds me how there will never be a third game. :(

It's not that bad at all, the combat is pretty crappy but it always was tbh.

Agreed, I played it not too long ago and its still a pretty good looking game forgiving the Resolution. The game I find horribly dated is Max Payne, I know that's neither here nor there. But I tried playing it recently, and its pretty bad lol

seconded.

Sadly not enough people "got" Shenmue, literally and figuratively. I thought it was one of the best games ever, attention to detail second to none and epic story line (some duff translations)

Oh how I've longed for closure; to smack Lan Di's head about and to boff the life out of Nozomi... sigh

Sadly Shenmue doesn't emulate the best on PC. I'd recommend anyone who likes adventure games and has a bit of patience, track down a Dreamcast on the bay and a play it

If it was released, i cant see it coming to PSN - would cost too much surely?

XBLA maybe, considering the first two are already existing in original Xbox code.

You think? my GF's only into light gaming and never played anything thats not a playstation brand ( ) but she played the first right through and didnt complain once about it feeling out-dated.
Graphics are going to look old, obviously, but the story and gameplay is pretty gripping if your in to that sort of thing.

Well thats the point......you wouldn't need a dreamcast to play it and I have heard lots of old dreamcast gamers that are gutted they missed out on playing Shenmue. Even though I get what your saying from your own point a view I dont think this would be the same for everyone.....release the game on the PSN network, add a few trophies jobs a gudden :)
