is it me or does vista constantly access the HD's and with 2 raptors in a RAID config it's doing my nut in

Having the same problem but mines a single raptor with a 250Gb storage drive which it seems to be scanning at the moment.

Its indexing all of the drives on your PC. Try and leave it over night, in the morning it will be much quicker

If you don't use the instant search much you can just switch off the indexing...I think.
