Hi

I diagnosed that the shift key has broken by semi-permanently being depressed on a Medion Windows 11 laptop. I diagnosed by installing keytweak and disabling them.

However when I plug in an external keyboard, the shift key on that is disabled too.

Is there a way I can disable the laptops shift key but not shift from external keyboards please?

If you remap the shift key to another key it should work the same on both.
Wanted to come back on this. Power toys didn't do the business. Didn't seem to kick in until after windows was logged in, which impacted the login screen.

I tried keytweak and this seemed to persist. Disabled the left and right shift and mapped the Alt Gr button to the left shift. Fingers crossed it's seemed to stick after a few reboots
