American keyboard setting - change it back to British (Google)
Unfortuantely I dont have access to it (restrictions) so I dont know how that could have either changed or how its only affecting only Office and not IE?
Is there seperate language options in MS Office? Maybe set to US.
Only Outlook options I can see are to do with the dictionary and thats UK already - any further places to look?
Try shift + #
Shift+# gives me | in Office currently...

Guess I need to do a reboot but will have to do that tomorrow

There should be an option for Microsoft Language Settings under "Microsoft Office Tools" in the ms office start up menu. That's how I changed mine to UK English before.

Ive already setup Alt+3 for it so its not a major issue - just bemused its happened when Ive done nothing...

Ooh looks like that might have worked - it was already on UK English but swapping it to US and then back seems to have worked - cheers...
