Haven't been around here in a while so I thought I'd swing by and show you how lovely the MR2 looks after an 8 hour cleaning session over the bank holiday.

Not bad for a 15 year old motor if I do say so myself!

Very impressive, but i simply could not do 8 hours cleaning. The best I can do is about an hour and then I think "Stuff it, I'll go for a drive" :D.

Looks like a tidy car. Turbo?

I have to say I do get a little bored as well, but it's a necessary evil and the results make it worth while.

This actually wasn't a "full" clean either...just a wash, light rotaty polish and wax...I couldn't be arsed to clay it and finish it with the other super duper stuff I have as well.

Looks very nice!

What did you use to clean it?

Megs shampoo, then polished with menz light cut compound and a fairly soft pad using my Silverline rotary polisher, finished with chemical guys XXX hardcore paste wax.

I have but not on this computer, will update the OP tomorrow with some others...but it's just as shiny from all angles!

If you flog the car anytime soon, sell me the wheels please :)

Staggered MO's, sweet.

Oh yes...love those wheels! All mint except one that's got a couple of scuffs on the spokes - nothing major though.

Would look great on my Rev 5 Sonic Shadow ;)

Can't believe how red yours is, there's a red rev 5 local to me and its pink going on white :(

The owner before me used to use the car on sunny weekends and wash and wax it with the expensive Zymol stuff after every ride out. Coupled with being kept in a heated garage (on CARPET!) it maintained the paint very very well.
I use it as a daily driver and so I do have to keep on top of it otherwise I do notice it starting to haze slightly, but as long as I keep it waxed it's only a couple of times a year that I go over it with the rotary and a mild polish.

I'll wait for this coat of wax to wear off and then clay it and give it another good going over to see if I can totally get rid of the swirls (there's very few now, more like tiny spiders webs than uniform swirls) then give it four or five coats of Colinite 452 (I think that's the one) which will see it thru winter absolutely fine.

Updated the OP with more pics.
I know I've left my plates on in the other photos - uploaded them before I remembered, never mind.

Awesome as always, very clean (as you usually do with your cars) and well photographed :)

Completely unprocessed I would assume?
