and its still formating the disk! Damn me and my cautious approach. Suppose it gives it time to settle in a bit and at least the disk will be fully formatted and any bad sectors picked up. Back to bf2 with everything at medium one last time then.... At least I've got 3 whole days to to set things up just right. 
(Oh, and the funny bit? The asus install disk for the p5wdh popping up saying its not compatible with the operating system (winxp sp2)? How I laughed... not; just a case of running it manually, but still...)
