*I'm putting this here as the aim was to improve cooling/noise*

Had a big job on today. Transplanted my electrical innards into my new CM Stacker 810. The noise of my old set-up was just too much and i had to do something about it.

The Alienware case i was using only had 1x120mm and 1x80mm fan mounts, both with YSTech fans to keep my toaster reasonably cool. This Stacker is running with 5x120mm and 2x80mm silent fans :D I also swapped my Hiper for a Seasonic 600W. Both PSU are very quiet although i would say the Seasonic is slightly quieter.

It's so nice to be able to hear myself think again. (Not that i was missing much!)

Temps are largely unchanged although the HSF and chipset fan aren't having to work quite so hard now. The gfx card is slightly warmer as it no longer has a side fan blowing directly onto it.

Ran a stress test and logged the details from MBM5. A before and after comparison for anyone bored enough to look...http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f333/_DirkGently_/OldCase_NewCase_Temps.jpg (New case results on the bottom).

Silence is golden ;)
