Anyway, this post is not to gloat (too much) more to pass on some thanks and good job to the contributors to this forum. Knowledge is power and boy is there some knowledge on these pages ;)

cheers guys

can u expand on the PSU comment icey... it was my 2nd choice due to stock being out and i did take a flier with it....

PSU is a 70 quid modular. I don't like 100,000 hours at 25° in their specs but at least they specified temperature. Being a Danish company might make RMA interesting

Should be fine. Not a conventional choice, most people here would have pointed you towards a corsair. I'd have voted for ocz. But at 70 quid, you'll probably be fine

Photos? Putting computers together is nice enough that I'm accumulating empty cases

I don't think that it's the best of PSUs, there are much better. However, it's not rubbish, and should cope with your system fine.

fair comments, I should have waited i guess. I wanted a OCZ but unfortunatley I could not order from here due to site not accepting my particular flavour of american credit card ( i dont order anything on line unless its with a Credit card)

Pics will be posted

That's fair. I tend to use credit cards online, much better if you get robbed somewhere.

People stress too much about psu's sometimes. I've got a lovely ocz 800w that's just died while my older hiper is going strong. It's all a bit random :)

Pics!

Well threw all the bits together last night and it all went well (1st build for about 5 years and things have certainly changed a lot!)

Powered on first time and got Vista installed in under 15 minutes  all good so far, no time to play or benchmark yet, will do so this later this week.

Question about the Noctua Heatsink (which was bloody HUGE!!!) I was not 100% which way to fit it so settled on it sideways, with the air flow from the front of the case, through the heatsink and then out toward the back. I am at worko so have not got a pic but does this sound OK?
