Ship wreck at Branscombe (pics)

Went round to my parents house earlier in South Devon, and we took a walk along the cliff top a couple of miles from their house to see how much damage this is going to do. It's not pretty, and its going to get worse. It is quite bizarre to watch containers floating along in the current towards Weymouth though.

supposedly the navy are allowed to shoot floating the containers as target practice. but that could just be one of my dad's "what do you want? a good story or the truth?" stories.
 
I remember once in Cornwall a boat with Lego on it lost the Lego at least.

There were lots of little plastic black lego dragons on the beachs.

Highly unlikely. It's both in a civil shipping lane and on public beach, not to mention that destroying this containers would only make the debris problem worse.
 
Yeah saw this on the news not too long ago, nice pictures though, shame about the pollution it will cause though :(
