i have an OG mountain mods case (horizon, the horizontal mobo layout) with 360mm rad on the front. i'll be shipping it to oz in a container (along with the rest of our stuff), it will be individually crated. any advice on prep? i'm reluctant to dismantle it as i'm not convinced it will be much more secure that way, except for a couple of obvious things.
  • GPU is a 5090 FE, will definitely remove that and pack it in its own original box.
  • Will disconnect and close off CPU block (probably just u-turn a hose)
  • Will d/c and close off rad (as above).
  • Will remove reservoir and pump entirely (glass aquacomputer pump/res combo), it's heavy and in-use is secured with velcro strapping.
  • Will remove PSU as it's big and heavy unit.
was thinking i would leave everything else in-situ (including HDDs etc). is there anti-static bubble-wrap i can stuff the case with to provide a little more cushioning in case things do move around? the only thing i'm not entirely sure of is the radiator, it is secured by 12 screws to the case, i could additionally velcro-strap it as backup for shipping.

You can actually buy an expanding type of packaging for the inside of your PC, it fills the empty space to stop things from moving around/getting damaged as easily.

Some of the pre-build companies use them for shipping PC's.

I don't know how good this particular brand is, could be worth looking into it a bit more.

Regardless, I'd still ship the 5090 in its own box.

OCUK don't sell the above so I assume I'm safe to link it.
