Shivering Isles *Problem - Wont start*

I have installed Shivering Isles, and now have version 1.2.x of Oblivion running.

However, I cant seem to be able to find any trace of the mod - it shows up in Oblivion Mod Manager, and the Oblivion launcher when loading the game - but despite waiting my character for 24 hours and also sleeping my character for 24 hours, no prompts.

I've also swam all over the Niben Bay, but no sign of the Isle itself. Hopeing not to have to do a full re-install to find the same problem occurs - any ideas anyone?

Will be greatly appreciated for weekend of hack 'n slash

It didn't show up for me even after 24 hours game time. IIRC it took a few days to show up for me. Then it prompted me and gave me a map marker.

Do you have lots of other mods already installed?

Yeah I have quite a few installed - was just reading one of the other Oblivion threads that mentioned that there are patches for mods, now that S.I. is out..... so might have a look for those if i cant get the Isles to load.

It showed up for me after only about 5 in-game hours. Maybe you could try starting the quest to get to the Isles via the console (check the construction set for details, probably)?

Normally works for me.

I did that for the full 24 hours, upon waking I felt fresh as a daisy I and also got a prompt telling me about an Island in the Nibben bay

i never even knew it did show up as a quest, I just went south east of Bravil

As suggested by a bunch of google searches, I have tried both sleeping for 24 hours and standing still for 24 hours.

I've also scoured the Niben bay, shore to shore, South east and pretty much everywhere else in Bravil but cant find the island let alone get a quest for it.

I'll try a few extra patches and see how it goes - might end up having to write myself a script to install all my oblivion mods+patches or it'll get too confusing next time I format!

Try

setstage SE01Door 10

in the console.

If that doesn't work then try the Oblivion Mod Manager if you don't already have it and make the Shivering Isles mod file load up last, incase its conflicting with another mod.
