Shoes

I need some new casual shoes, as my old ones are getting worn out. I currently have some vans skate shoes, but I'm not sure what kind of style I want. Any suggestions, and places to get them from?

Globe make some very nice tasteful skate shoes. I'm really into them at the moment. Some are pretty lairy, some are nice and subtle, and they're comfy as anything

That's the thing - I don't know! I'm just looking for suggestions. Something that would be worn on a normal day, but not to work or anything formal.

OK, that helps to narrow it down - not trainers - I don't want anything like nike or adidas.

How very dare you! I didn't mention Reebok Classics or Nike Shox.

Go to your room with no supper, the best trainers in the world are Nike Air Max, the best old school trainers being Adidas shelltoes.

I agree on the Classics and particularly the Shox, but hate Air Max with a passion these days. I used to have some in the early 90's, and thats were they should have stayed.

Our lass likes them, but I've threatened to chin her if she ever buys some

I bought myself a pair of navy blue Timberlands lately. Casual enough that I can wear them to college etc, smart enough to wear out to a bar.
