Is there a AI patch or fix for shogun 2 total because all the AI does in battle is wait near the edge of the map for me to attack, they don't move or anything.

I bought it yesterday and so far i'm not impressed with it :s

Hi my name is simon and im here to help:)
Seriously go and download darthmod it makes the game how it should have been. It makes it a lot more realistic no more benny hill running around the map. Combat is so much better and improved in so many way. The armies is twice the size and the ai is massivly improved your gonna get flanked and your really gonna need to think.

Heres the link to the feature page its worth a read and beneath is the dl:)

Just have a look at some of the pics the battles look really big and epic, and damn it now im off to play again:D

I have it on steam and I checked for updates, says it's up to date yet there is still problems.

EDIT:Hi simon, thanks for the reply. I'll definitely gonna have to look into this mod thank you.

Have the majority of your army hide away in some trees / up a hill and get a small cavalry group go and bait them - 60% of the time, it works every time! :D

The AI is actually somewhat clever and it knows it has an advantage at the end of the map. You'll need to bait them out of their vantage point somehow. The game uses a lot of the teachings of Sun Tzu's Art of War and the battle AI makes a point of utilising the strategies in the texts.

Also I highly recommend NOT playing the game modded until you've actually got a feel for the base game first. Once you've understood what it's all about and how it works, then would be a good time to try any mods if you so wish. Try it as the devs intended, then try the alternatives and see which you prefer as a result.
