shogun 2 wont start in DX11 via steam

hey guys,

so i installed shogun 2 again via steam and its all updated etc but it wont run in DX11, but it runs in DX9 :/

is this a common problem and how do i solve it?

nope, none at all, just the game itself

I had a quick google (which I presume you've done too?) and the first result was a thread on the shogun forums where unfortunately they hadn't managed to solve the issue. I'm fairly sure it was a similar g.card to yourself though.

ive been looking for hours, annoying really, when i have a DX11 system bt have to play in DX9

Sadly there aren't any known fixes for it which is strange as a lot of people get it, I can only suggest validating your cache but tbh, you aren't missing much in DX11.

Try downloading the DARTH mod from the workshop, that might fix it. Don't know how, but it's meant to edit some graphical settings and it might stop it from dying.

Have you tried running as admin, disabling visual themes or running in compatibility for Vista service pack 2?

Probably something in the CCC. I've not played with xfire since my I had my old 4870x2
