Is it just me, or does anyone else find they get a set of tactics for one shooter game.... only to find its totally rubbish/inappropriate for another??

Such as, my tactics for Crysis often involve putting down random covering fire near an enemy if I cant see them, keeping their heads down a bit while I move on - seems that the AI reacts and sometimes keeps their heads down, not always though.

Problem is, playing Vietcong - the VC completely dont give a monkeys about you blatting rounds near them, so they just pop up and shoot you anyway :( Problem is I only remember about the AI differences *AFTER* the firefight.....

Anyone else suffer this?? lol

I'd assume that practically every game has different AI and you'd need to alter your tactics for each one.

Vietcong was an absolute b1atch to play though, that was very tough. I played it on the hardest setting (what was it called again? it had a funny name) where it removes all your graphical indicators and it was so hard I just got annoyed with one tunnel rat missions and just had to stop playing it before I smashed my keyboard :)

Vietcong is superb! The hardest difficulty is just called "Vietnam" - because when you die, you die.... thats it, no lives, no saves. Bit masochistic really...

I know i *SHOULD* alter my tactics, I just tend to end up playing with the tactics for the newest shooter, until I keep realising that theyre a bit dumb for some of the older games.... heh
