When out and about with your camera you will often see interesting and unusual people doing random things.

Whats the normal reaction you give when you get clocked taking some-ones picture you don’t know.

  • Ignore the fact they've seen you giving the impression you where taking a shot of something else?
  • Smile at them after the shot and slowly walk away looking at your camera
  • Give the thumbs up and look impressed with their photogenic mannerisms.
  • Anything else?

I think it entirely depends on the person and where you are, there are lots of variables.

For example, I remember taking a sneaky picture of some dodgy street dealers last year. I certainly wasn't going to advertise the fact I was doing so, so therefore pretended I was taking a picture of something else.

If however you were taking street candids, I think it's only right you acknowledge the person a little afterwards, if anything it stops you appearing really weird, they might even stop for a chat.

This. Or smile and say thank you :)
