Shops refusing to take £50 notes

WHY

My mate had to buy my cheese butty from co op, a protein shake from the gym and the barbers wouldn't cut my hair.

Whats to craic? It's legal tender !

It's not silly though is it. The butty was 1 pound.

Two 20 notes, a 5 and 4 pound coins change. Not hard is it lmao.

Legit? Probably are got them from Natwest in town.

Apparently the new 50 note will come out this winter, what do they do with the old ones? They can't just bin em?

Went in yday and they changed it, the reason they wouldnt change it the other day was because i was being 'cheeky'

Ignored me after that, i see these people everyday and they are friendly as soon as i bang out a 50 note im an outcast O_o
